ACE Awards - Special Award Criteria

In addition to the Top 50 and 25 fastest-growing-company awards, the following awards have been given in prior years.  Similar awards are planned for the 2008 event, to be held September 4, 2008.

Most Innovative Company of the Year

Criteria - Company has successfully organized, developed, or managed a concept into a commercial product or service.

Nomination form -  must include a brief description of the product or service, how it was successfully commercialized and challenges related to developing, financing, and marketing the product or service.   Other information that can be included on the nomination - specific information about the company's approach to innovation, growth and risk; specific information on market penetration, profitability or other measures of commercial success for the product, service or company.

CEO of the Year

Criteria – Given to the most-admired CEO, as selected by a panel.

Details to consider - demonstrated leadership, the ability to delegate, integrity, entrepreneurship, and their commitment to the community and their employees.

Corporate Growth Award

This award was given to Discount Tire due to its large growth in employee count over the past two years.

Fastest-Growing Minority-Owned Company
